Pixel Skin Resurfacing
Pixel skin resurfacing is state of the art laser technology that improves skin texture and tone, smooths wrinkles and effectively diminishes photo aging. Pixel has the ability to improve age spots and scarring. Unlike former laser resurfacing treatments, Pixel gently places beams of ablation laser treatment into the skin in a manner that decreases skin damage and down time. The skin quickly rebuilds itself by producing skin firming collagen which tightens and rejuvenates the skin. By only using small pixel dots of laser on the skin, there is diminished discomfort and rapid skin healing.
Pixel can be applied to different body areas with good results. While facial treatments are the most popular, at Plastic Surgery Associates we find treatments to the neck, décolleté (upper chest) and to the backs of hands to be very beneficial.
The night after your pixel treatment you can expect your skin will feel warm, much like sunburn. The next few days your skin will feel a bit dry. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities within 48-72 hours. Dr. Silberman's personally trained Clinical Aestheticians will assist you with making the best skin care choices during this time of healing. The exciting results occur over the weeks following your pixel treatment. Each day as you look in the mirror, you will see your skin get better and better.... firmer, more reflective, and younger looking! It is expected that one to three Pixel treatments will be necessary to maximize results.
Pixel is an excellent method of skin rejuvenation. Pixel treatment restructures collagen and gives consistently good results. Patients report outstanding benefits with minimal discomfort. It is a great option, especially for patients in their forties or fifties and acts as an adjunct to surgery or can stand alone as a great treatment.
"As an aesthetician of 20 years, I have seen the rapid advancement of laser procedures through the years. While prior treatments provided good results, the discomfort, healing time and cost could be daunting. Today we have reached the perfect triad of outstanding benefits, minimal side effects and reasonable cost. Pixel is one of my favorite procedures to perform because of the consistent excellent results and patient satisfaction. I also find that risks have been minimized by the Pixel technology of treating small areas of skin rather than an entire patch (e.g. full ablation). I love the Pixel laser.... just love it!" - Victoria Capozzoli, Clinical Aesthetician
